CENTER FOR GEO-INFORMATICS APPLICATIONS IN RURAL DEVELOPMENT (C-GARD CELL)

 

   

Introduction

 

The CGARD cell in SIRD envisage to design and develop Geo-informatics Application in Rural Development. The fund for this cell is provided by National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD&PR),Hyderabad, India. C-GARD designs specialized program for imparting skills and improving knowledge levels in latest Geo-informatics technology.

 

Objective

 

The aim of this cell is to enhance the skill and knowledge levels in Geo-informatics technology and tools among the development functionaries in different sectors

  • To conduct short term and long term training program for different clientele group.
  • To develop sustainable rural development models with the aid of Geo-informatics.
  • To act as technical support center on Geo-informatics for the entire rural development departments.
